The Natural Deathcare Initiative is co-hosting, with Hospice of Santa Cruz County, a free screening of In the Parlor: The Final Goodbye. This is an inspiring documentary about home deathcare and home funerals. It offers a healing, compassionate, alternative to the mainstream tradition of hiring funeral professionals to care for our deceased loved ones. The movie will be followed by a panel consisting of the film’s director Heidi Boucher, a representative from Hospice of Santa Cruz County, and NDI co-founder Julie Esterly.
